Who we are

This website is run by ZYD ACADEMY PTE. LTD. (UEN 201735508E), trading as ZYD Academy ("ZYD Academy", "we", "us"). We are a tuition centre in Singapore. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

When you fill in the enquiry form on our Contact page, we ask for:

• check_circleYour child's current academic level and grade band
• check_circleSubjects of interest and preferred mode of learning (physical or online)
• check_circleAnything you tell us about what your child is struggling with

The information about your child is given by you as their parent or guardian. Please share only what you are comfortable with. If you message or call us, or if your child later joins a class, we may also keep the details you give us then, such as email address, class attendance and progress notes.

How we use it

• check_circleTo arrange diagnostic assessments, trial sessions and class placement
• check_circleTo handle enrolment, fees and class administration
• check_circleTo tell you about class schedule changes and important updates

We do not sell your personal data. We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them.

Consent

By submitting the enquiry form or otherwise giving us your details, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal data (and your child's) for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, and we will explain what that means for the services we can provide.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed to run our services:

• check_circleService providers that help us operate, such as the form-handling service that receives your enquiry, messaging apps like WhatsApp, and our website hosting and storage providers
• check_circlePartners who help us deliver specific classes, when you enrol in those classes
• check_circleAuthorities, where the law requires it

Some of these providers may store or process data outside Singapore. When that happens, we take steps to make sure your data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal and accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are deleted after a reasonable period.

How we protect it

We limit access to people who need it and use reputable providers with appropriate security. No online system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as NRIC numbers or payment details through the enquiry form.

Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you or your child, to correct it, or to stop using it. Email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
